Valentin's House

Tala did something impulsive. She leaned forward and bit the end off the strawberry. She chewed and swallowed quickly. Her face flushed pink and she smiled at her host. He really did make her feel at ease. He caused her to do things she never dreamed of doing with a member of the opposite sex. "It's good." she mumbled to him and looked down at the plate. She picked up a piece of cantaloupe and ate it too smiling at the sweet taste.

Kanas hugged back. He felt warm with her embrace. Her skin was warm and soft. He found it quite comfortable.

"You're welcome," he said.

Kaoru quickly let go of Kanas when she realized that she had gotten more blood on his already ruined shirt. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize I got blood on you." she looked down at his shirt where the skin showed through healed. "Oww." She looked at her hand and walked to the bar searching for a napkin.

Valentin laughed at Tala. He watched her look at the fruit and then got up to retrieve the roast in the oven. "If you will grab the dishes sitting on the counter and the fruit plate I will take this out there." He smiled and walked out to the lounge.

Tala ate a few more pieces of fruit and looked at Valentin as he pulled out the roast. "Okay." was all she could muster as she grabbed the dishes and fruit plate to carry out to the lounge.

Kanas tried hard to ignore the bloodstain, and he was successful. He valued her life more than any sort of meal.

"It's fine, milady," he said in response.

"Here's dinner!" Valentin said a little too cheerfully. He was still weak from giving so much blood. He set the glass pan on the bar near Kaoru. "Please eat till you're full ladies." He said this time not as excitedly. He poured himself a straight glass of bagged blood and sat down in one of the two single chairs surrounding the small coffee table and the fireplace. He downed the glass as fast as he could and blanched a little at the taste. When he'd taken what little of Kanas' blood was left he forgot how much different bagged blood tasted from fresh blood. It sickened him a little that he'd enjoyed taking Kanas' blood but it did save the boys life. He waited on the others to see what they would do.

Kaoru finally found a paper napkin and washed her hand off. The cuts had already clotted. When she was done with that she saw Valentin sit down a delectable smelling dish on the bar. She saw Tala following and couldn't wait for her to sit down the plates so she could dig in. Her stomach grumbled and she drooled a little at the smell and sight of the food.

Tala sat the dishes down quickly and grabbed the top set of silverware, napkin, and plate. She quickly cut off half of the chunk of roast and got some of the vegetables as well and poured gravy over all of it. She sat down in the other single chair in front of the fireplace and dug into her meal. It was really good. The vampire could cook! Which she immediately thought was weird but she didn't much care. She smiled as she chewed so much food she couldn't close her mouth all the way.

Kaoru quickly grebbed her plate, napkin, and silverware. After Tala had taken what she wanted Kaoru had taken the rest. She went and sat on the small couch facing the fireplace and chowed down about as much as Tala was. Well without the open mouth. Tala reminded Kaoru of a child because she didn't seem to care what people thought about her. She ate quickly enjoying the scrumptious taste of the food.
